Summary

Larpy is an entertainment app: live market prices, fictional money. It isn’t a bank or a broker, it isn’t financial advice, and it must never be used to fool anyone. By using Larpy (the app, the web app or the demo on this website) you agree to these terms.

Who we are

Larpy is run by Petr Chmelař, Czech Republic. “We” and “us” in these terms mean Larpy and its operator. You can reach us at [email protected].

What Larpy is

Larpy shows real crypto prices and lets you build a portfolio with demo funds, for fun, for practice, for content and for role-play. Everything you do in it is simulated:

• balances, holdings, cards, payments, transfers and rug pulls are fictional and have no monetary value;
• nothing in Larpy can be withdrawn, sent, spent or exchanged for anything real;
• Larpy isn’t connected to any bank, exchange, wallet, card network or payment system;
• no screen in Larpy is a real account, statement, receipt or confirmation.

Not a financial service

Larpy is not a bank, broker, exchange, money transmitter, wallet provider or any other financial institution, and isn’t regulated as one. It gives no financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Prices come from public data sources, can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and how a demo portfolio does says nothing about how a real one would. Don’t base real decisions on anything you see in Larpy.

Don’t use Larpy to deceive anyone

Larpy is for entertainment. You must not use the app, its screens or screenshots of it to mislead, scam or defraud anyone. That includes, for example:

• showing a demo balance or payment as real to get money, goods, services, credit or any other benefit;
• faking proof of funds, income or payment, for a landlord, an employer, a seller, a lender, an authority or anyone else;
• pretending to be a real bank, exchange, company or person;
• making fake receipts, statements or confirmations to cheat someone.

You alone are responsible for how you use Larpy. Using it to deceive people breaks these terms and can be a crime.

Fair use

Don’t use Larpy to break the law or anyone’s rights, to harass or harm others, to get into systems or data you aren’t allowed to, or to interfere with the app or the services it relies on. Don’t claim to be connected with Larpy, or with any company whose prices or logos appear in it, when you aren’t.

Who can use Larpy

You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree to them for you. Buying Larpy Pro also needs whatever permission your store account requires for your age, such as Apple’s Ask to Buy.

Larpy Pro membership

Larpy is free to use. Larpy Pro is an optional paid membership that unlocks extra features for as long as it’s active. It’s a subscription, not a one-time or lifetime purchase.

Plans and prices

• Monthly: renews every month.
• Yearly: renews every year.

The current prices are shown on the Larpy Pro screen in the app and on our website. The price that applies to you, in your currency and with any taxes, is the one the App Store or Google Play shows you before you confirm.

What Pro includes

Pro currently removes the Larpy watermark and adds Gold, Platinum and Black cards, Pay, no cap on your demo balance and setting your demo cash to any amount. The Larpy Pro screen in the app always has the current list. Pro unlocks features only: it never gives you real money, and everything you do with Pro is as fictional as the rest of Larpy. We may improve, change or replace Pro features over time. If we ever take away something central to Pro, we’ll say so in the app, and you can cancel.

Payment and automatic renewal

Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, which take the payment under their own terms. Your store account is charged when you confirm the purchase. The membership then renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same length and at the price in effect then, and your store account is charged again unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. If we offer a free trial, it turns into a paid membership when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time: on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, on Android in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions, or from Larpy through Profile → Manage subscription. Deleting the app or your Larpy account does not cancel the membership. After you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for and doesn’t renew. Larpy then goes back to the free version: your demo portfolio stays as it is, and the free version’s limits apply to anything new.

Refunds

Because Apple and Google take the payment, they also handle refunds, under their own policies: ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google through Google Play. We can’t issue refunds ourselves. Cancelling stops future renewals but doesn’t refund the period you’re in, unless the store’s policy or the law says otherwise. If you’re a consumer in the EU or the UK, you may also have a right to withdraw from a new purchase within 14 days under the store’s terms and your local law; that request goes to the store too. If a payment is refunded or reversed, Pro ends.

Price changes

We may change Pro’s prices. A new price never applies to a period you’ve already paid for. Before an increase applies to you, Apple or Google lets you know and, where the store or the law requires it, asks for your agreement. If you don’t agree, the membership ends when the current period does.

Restoring Pro

Pro belongs to the Apple ID or Google account you bought it with, not to your Larpy account. On a new phone, sign in to the store with the same account and tap Restore on the Larpy Pro screen or in Profile.

If Larpy or Pro ends

If we ever stop offering Larpy or Larpy Pro, memberships won’t renew after that, and we’ll tell you in the app beforehand where we can. Nothing in these terms is a promise to run Larpy forever.

Market data, names and logos

Prices and charts come from third parties such as Kraken, ExchangeRate-API and Frankfurter, and may be unavailable at times. Names and logos of coins belong to their owners and are shown only to identify what a price is for. Larpy isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

Your data

Your account and demo portfolio are stored on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. You’re responsible for your device and its backups. If that data is lost, we can’t bring it back.

The app belongs to us

Larpy’s name, design, code and content are ours or our licensors’. You may use Larpy for yourself, as intended. Except where the law allows it, you may not copy, resell, rent out, modify or reverse engineer the app, or use its name and logo without our permission. If you downloaded Larpy from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies as well.

No warranty

Larpy is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise that it will always work, be error-free or keep your data, or that prices will be accurate or up to date.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data arising from using Larpy or not being able to use it, including anything that follows from you or someone else misusing it. Where the law doesn’t allow a limitation, our liability is as limited as it permits. You agree to cover any claims and costs that arise because you broke these terms or the law while using Larpy.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract, for example under the consumer laws of the EU or the UK.

Changes and ending

We may change Larpy or these terms. If the terms change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app about changes that matter; using Larpy after that means you accept the new version. Changes don’t apply to a Pro period you’ve already paid for. You can stop at any time by deleting the app (cancel Pro in your store settings as well). If you break these terms, your right to use Larpy ends.
